SCTPC 2012 Convention by The Reuer's #20COLUMBIA, SC — U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, appointed to the post in January to replace former Sen. Jim DeMint, reported Tuesday he had raised $1.1 million in the first quarter.

His fundraising haul included a transfer of $355,000 from Scott’s campaign account, bringing his fundraising total to $1.47 million. Of that, he has $1.3 million available to spend.

Scott will be on the ballot in 2014 for a two year term. If he wins, he will have to run again in 2016 for a full six-year term.

Also on the ballot in 2014 will be U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, who announced Monday he had $5.4 million cash on hand — a figure Graham’s campaign believes could be the second highest amount among GOP Senators and candidates. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky reported $8.6 million last week.

Graham reported he raised $1.1 million in the first quarter.
