COLUMBIA — U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is a “stalwart” Republican – pro-life and the proud owner of an AR-15 who frequently zings President Barack Obama for his health care law and his handling of a deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, supporters say.
But Graham’s record has drawn four GOP primary opponents, and the ire of Tea Party and libertarian activists, who bristled when the two-term senator from Seneca rebuked fellow congressional Republicans for refusing to fund the government unless Obama delayed or defunded his health care law.Read More
At least two high-ranking Capitol Hill sources have told Breitbart News that Ryan’s plan would also help protect Obamacare as it is currently implemented.

WASHINGTON — Speaker of the House John Boehner said Thursday that if the House and Senate went to conference on immigration reform, he would not bring the bill that emerged to the floor unless it had the support of a majority of House Republicans.
House Republicans have expressed great distaste for the comprehensive immigration reform bill set to pass the Senate Thursday. On Tuesday, the Senate will begin floor consideration of the Rubio-Schumer immigration bill. Senators will vote on a “motion to proceed,” which would allow formal debate on the legislation and the consideration of amendments. One PAC, Americans for Legal Immigration, is threatening to find primary challengers for any Republican Senator who votes in favor of the motion. The move is the latest activism from conservatives organizations against the amnesty bill.
One of the many sad signs of our times is the way current immigration issues are discussed. A hundred years ago, the immigration controversies of that era were discussed in the context of innumerable facts about particular immigrant groups. Many of those facts were published in a huge, multi-volume 1911 study by a commission headed by Senator William P. Dillingham.
HOUSTON, TX. May 7, 2013 – True the Vote (TTV), the nation’s leading voters’ rights organization, today announced its settlement with the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections regarding records inspection rights under federal law and the Florida Constitution. The agreement provides True the Vote access to all ballots, registrations, and other election related data necessary to conduct an audit of a federal election in Florida’s 18th congressional district. The audit will be led not by government entities or political parties, but by concerned citizens.
“True the Vote can now begin reconstruction and review of the 18th Congressional District election race between Colonel Allen West and Patrick Murphy,” True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said. “We must stop this scandalous cycle of ignoring failures in our electoral process when the campaigns and cameras go home. Understanding how failures in administration can effect elections, as we saw in St. Lucie County, will help prevent them from occurring in the future. We cannot allow slipshod standards to become pandemic across our country’s election processes – citizens can and will stand up in defense of election integrity.”Read More
