CIA: Washington Post Report Linking Russian Government to Trump Election Hacking Is “Outright Lie”

The Central Intelligence Agency is declaring the Washington Post’s much-hyped story linking the Russian government to hacking the presidential election to help Donald Trump an “outright lie,” according to CIA personnel with direct knowledge of the case.
The Washington Post, in a front-page splash on Friday, fingered the CIA for allegedly confirming the wild rumors of Russian hacking that were concocted and spread by Democratic lawmakers for months preceding the election and the weeks since the GOP win. The Washington Post’s story, however, contained no CIA sources and in fact, no credible U.S. intelligence agency sources whatsoever. Instead, it hinged on what unnamed lawmakers had supposedly been told by unidentified, supposed CIA-linked sources in “secret” briefings: That the CIA had developed proof the Russian state waged an orchestrated campaign to destabilize the U.S. election to benefit GOP-candidate Trump.Read More

A group of House Republicans is trying to shift the media’s focus in the immigration debate away from the proposed amnesty for 12 million illegal immigrants and toward the 140 million Americans now trying to earn a decent living amid high unemployment and declining wages.
“Amnesty is a component part of the overall issue and I tried to focus on the overall economic issue,” Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, who issued a statement for the group, told The Daily Caller. “For me, the issue has always been about the damage that the president’s immigration policy will do to the American economy and to American workers.”Read More

Joe Dugan, executive producer of the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention that will be held in Myrtle Beach from January 18th to the 20th, criticized former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for supporting incumbent Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in an ad that ran on television networks in South Carolina during the Capital One Bowl Game Wednesday.
“I thought it was disgusting,” Dugan said of the ad. The ad was paid for by a group called the South Carolina Conservative Action Alliance, a tax-exempt 501(c)4 non-profit.Read More
South Carolina’s Tea Party leaders are taking aim at incumbent Sen. Lindsay Graham– from four directions. The group of conservative and independent-minded Republicans wants to give exposure to all four of Graham’s GOP primary challengers at its upcoming statewide convention.
“It’s better for Lindsey Graham to have four targets instead of one,” state Tea Party Patriots leader Joe Dugan said. Dugan, a Conway native, is one of the most active members of the movement in South Carolina.Read More
