If McCain had put in as much effort into running for president as he did in fighting conservatives, he would have been in the White House. One of John McCains big donor for remaking the Arizona GOP is out of state. Greg Maffei is from Colorado and while he is a steadier Republican donor (though he also donated to Democrats like Maria Cantwell, Salazar and Jay Rockerfeller) and he’s also a pal of Colorado gun control governor Hickenlooper.Read More
MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — Conservative activist and author Trevor Loudon riled up the crowd to kick off the South Carolina Tea Party convention in a Saturday speech with a proposed dream team he offered for conservatives to “put the federal government back in its place.”

After the IRS admitted to and apologized on Friday for targeting Tea Party groups during the 2012 election, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin reminded Americans that the “corrupt” IRS will also be in charge of implementing Obamacare. She called for the IRS to be investigated and insisted that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) also create a select committee to investigate the Benghazi cover-up.
“Between the Benghazi cover-up and the IRS targeting Obama’s political opponents, we see the corruption at the heart of big government,” Palin wrote. “Americans should remember that this same corrupt IRS will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare. And this same inept and corrupt government will supposedly secure our now unsecured borders in advance of immigration reform and will implement a completely ethical and non-political IPAB panel to make life and death health care decisions for you and your family.”Read More
Palin said those against freedom in this battle “tend to go by acronyms–CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and NYT.” She mocked how these and other media members criticized George W. Bush endlessly any time a photo of 9/11 was included in a campaign ad or commercial; they “cried that he was exploiting tragedy for political gain.” Yet Palin said “that same media is now the reliable, poodle-skirted cheerleader for a president who writes the book on exploiting tragedy.”
She reference how Obama flew “grieving” Newtown parents on Air Force One, “making them backdrops in his perpetual campaign-style presidency.”Read More
